Wye?
WYE? A large upcycled roof slate showing the course of the River Wye is inlaid with copper.. Chicken wish bones, symbolising the many chicken farms situated in the Wye catchment area are mounted onto the slate eerily looking like hunting trophies as were displayed in great halls and stately homes in the past. These are hung with enamelled fish skeletons, weighted by lead weights so highlighting the scale of pollution within our rivers and illustrating why they are suffering and the state of the river’s food chain.. However hope is not lost as the wishbones symbolise.

Leap
A slate ‘leap’ made from upcycled roof slates. Mounted onto a section of railway sleeper and in this instance positioned over a pond.
Fine Kettle of Fish
Fine Kettle of Fish
Our rivers are dying. We humans are responsible. What a fine kettle of fish we have created.
Fabric fish created from scraps and hand dyed and printed fabrics. Jumping out of an old cast iron kettle, escaping the condition of the water!
Freedom
Idea
I love the idea of sardines bouncing into life once the can is opened.
Sardines made from scraps of material leftover from past projects
